Еще нарыл инфы от Стива, правда там про DJM UK CD говорится... надеюсь они не отличаются! One of my favorite albums. Takes me back to 1975. The first USA CD used the analog copy tape. The second press CD used a DJM clone of some kind on a 1610. That's all I know about this country and digital. The FIRST DJM UK CD uses the master tape and seems to be the best out there. This album has the widest dynamic range of any album in the rock era. The first song starts at like 20 db down and stays there for a long time before it gets up there. It was cool back then but my poor noisy USA vinyl wasn't up to the task. The DJM vinyl was better but this thing should shine on CD. Try the first DJM UK CD, I think that's the least tampered with... __________________ SH http://www.stevehoffman.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=146858 |

The sacd/dts version of this sounds great, although the first track had some corruption in the rear & left channels. The massive dynamic range is immediately noticeable when the chorus kicks in. This post has been edited by Sartre on 25-04-2008, 12:47 |
