The best southern rock band to come out of California since the Flying Burrito Brothers, the Regulators have honed their chops to razor-slicing perfection, and the 11 songs on their debut disc are smothered in attitude and punch. From the opening chords of "Breakin' Out," which seems to have been mixed by adding equal parts of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Metallica, and a twist of the Outlaws, the album simply rocks. Next up is "Money, Pride and Greed," which is one of the two finest tracks on the record, the other being "Lies," a song with all the bone-crunching energy to make you want to pay the bucks to catch the Regulators live. "The Real Deal" is another winner, as is "Burn them Bridges Down" and the power-ballad, "Sweet Sustain." One of the most original features on the album is "Maple Leaf Rag," a pleasant diversion of 36 seconds worth of rag time piano that launches into "My Bags Are Packed." Ronnie Farrell, Gary Jeffries, Johnny Barnes, Johnny Travers, Randy Smith, Chris Turbis and Chuck Radek blow the roof off of the barn with a set that owes a debt of gratitude to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet for influence, and a pat on the back to themselves for not imitating those bands, but building on the influence and creating a CD that demands to be heard again and again.

These wild eyed boys from southern california play honky tonk , blues infused, good time boogie tunes kickstarted by harmonic layers of gut bustin guitars!

The Regulators first recording was in 1992 for Polydor Records called The Regulators. From that album their were songs in various movies such as "Under Siege" Starring "Steven Segal", "Kuffs" Starring "Christian Slater", "Girls Of Rock Video 3" Starring "Rock Girls", "The Ride" a Biker Documentry along with a Soundtrack Cd for "The Ride" including the song "Need For Speed" along with other artist like The Allman Brothers Band, Derek & The Dominos, Cream, James Brown, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Doobie Brothers, George Thorogood and The Destroyers, Iggy Pop, Billy Ray Cirus & Nat's Zen Cowboys.

Now they have Bar & Grill. We hope you like it.

There is also another cd by the band called "Above The Law"
It will is here now.

Released online only The Regulators "Got Smith & Wesson?" These are songs from the 1992 recording sessions that did not make the first cd. Smith & Wesson Band was the name of their band before they signed with Polydor.
