41°30´N 88°30´E (41 degrees, 30 minutes north and 88 degrees, 30 minutes east): Note these coordinates - not for the next vacation trip however, but for a journey of completely different kind! If you open your atlas you won´t find anything inviting at this place but a salt sea in the middle of the desert Gobi: Lop Nor.

Helmut Neugebauer, saxophonist, producer and sound artist has been invovled in the electronic music scene since the early 80ies. LOP NOR is his vision of a possible future of jazz and electronic music, his very personal version of Nu-Jazz. Guest artists on this album include Roland Punzenberger (drums), Thomas Berghammer (fluegelhorn, trumpet), Guida de Palma (vocals), Windi Gruber (vocals) and Marco Hebga (vocals).
