At the end of the seventies, there existed a group of mercenaries of the art who were hired by artists to serve as musicians of study of recording.
Soon, these virtuous instrumentalists initiated an artistic career with colors and proper name: TOTO. Initially Steve Lukather was integrated by David Hungate in down, Bobby Kimball in voice, in guitar, David Paich in keyboard, Jeff Porcaro in battery and Steve Porcaro in keyboards and choirs. This way, his first album was entitled simply " TOTO " where you are afraid as Hold the Line and Georgy Porgy they came to the top of the world rankings.

In 1996 Toto recorded Tambu. Into this work two new voices integrated: John James and Jenny Douglas-McRae selling 700.000 copies on a global scale and realizing innumerable tours all over the world. It is necessary to stand out, that they did the sound-track of Dune The group continues realizing works and arrangements for them themselves and for other artists, contributing of way significatrva in the definition of a sound that they take coining from the 70 ' up to nowadays.
