Remember the french metal scene of the 80’s ? Nightmare was one of them. Acclaimed in numerous European countries, Nightmare was signed on an English company Ebony. This debut album shows a very young and & the production shows some little weaknesses. But the strenghth of pure heavy metal is still here. Nightmare can be described as the perfect blend between Maiden (hear the guitar harmonies, the lyrical melodies) & Scorpions ( the singer, the force of melodies) " Waiting for the twilight ", " The Legend ", " Royal Death ", " Lord of the sky "are still metal hymns & it’s still a real pleasure to listen to these tracks. While listening to nightmare, it’s piece of evidence to comprehend why Greece & so many european bands have brought a large sucess to Nightmare & have given it a reputed value. The following album has brilliantly confirmed Nightmare’s potential. A last note, this album contains 4 bonus tracks which are taken from a demotape.
