Unconditional is the trio album of singer Neobe and Amsterdam-based producers duo Adani & Wolf. The twelve track album is the latest addition to what - after successful productions for, among others, Project 2000 and Praful, and their debut release under the Adani & Wolf moniker - is shaping up as an oeuvre, including their own sound, style and flavour.
Unconditional defies traditional categorization, since it's not strictly vocal nor strictly instrumental. Neobe's vocals adorn six out of twelve tracks, the rest is instrumental. Praful (saxophone/flute) joins in on Voyage and Nuts, while Kalin Veliov lends a helping hand in the percussion department. All other instruments are courtesy of Adani & Wolf.
Adani & Wolf are pooling their talents since 1998, when Roberto and Daniel met in Project 2000, a successful etno trance act (winner of Heineken Crossover Award 1999), that released its debut album, It's About Time, through Therapy/Universal in 2000. On stage, the band met ecstatic reactions and Project 2000 was invited to join the nation-wide Freedom Day 2000 festival as the top of the bill act.
Moreover, Adani & Wolf produced two albums for Amsterdam-based saxophone and flute player Praful, One Day Deep (Therapy, 2001) and Pyramid In Your Backyard (Therapy, 2005). One Day Deep charted Top 10 in both Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart en Billboard Electronic (Dance) Chart. Their debut album under the Adani & Wolf moniker, Les Seigneurs (Therapy, 2004), was hailed in the US as an important contribution to a new, European flavoured take on jazz.
