Come Taste the Band is an album by the hard rock band, Deep Purple, recorded between August 3 and September, 1975, it was released in October 1975. It was the only studio album with Tommy Bolin, who replaced Ritchie Blackmore on lead guitar. When Ritchie left Deep Purple, everybody thought it was the end. It was David Coverdale who asked Jon Lord to keep the band together, and Tommy Bolin joined in to become the new guitar hero.

The album reached #19 in the UK charts, and #43 in the US charts.

After this album, Tommy Bolin died, and Deep Purple broke up for eight years.
