еще одна молодая талантливая паверная комманда из Дании с третьим, очень удачным, альбомом "Revenge", прикольно... на пять миллионов населения столько великолепных металлических групп!... Mercenary, Manticora, WUTHERING HEIGHTS, Raunchy, Mnemic, Hatesphere, King Diamond, Pyramaze, Mersyful Fate, Urkraft и еще полно... Дания рулит...

I had already counted out Danish IRON FIRE for several reasons. For one because of the five-year silence after the second album ⌠On The Edge⌠, then also the fact that said album could not keep up with the freshness and class of the debut ⌠Thunderstorm⌠ and finally because singer and band founder Martin Steene had joined all-star formation FORCE OF EVIL. And for exactly these reasons I am not only generally surprised to hold a new album in my hands with ⌠Revenge■, no, it also gets released via Napalm Records, they really are serious about extending their musical horizons.
Now when a second album has turned out not to be that great, the hopes for a third one are not too high, of course, but the almost completely re-vamped Danes (Steene is the only remaining founding member) apparently have found their inspiration again, firing off great Power Metal volleys from opener ⌠Wings Of Rage■ on. And at times the great leads of the debut have found their way back as well, as best example we have ⌠IronHead■, which manages to convince me in every aspect.
Overall they vary the tempo very well, also within the songs, to avoid any kind of boredom. And also in other ways the gentlemen Steene, Andersen, J.J., Lund and Berglid put a lot of emphasis on variety, with the great melodies, the heavy yet kind of playful riffing and of course Steene▓s quite original voice, which sounds just different enough to stand apart. And it is these elements, together with the re-found freshness, are instrumental in the memorability of the album, which has its highlights in the swift opener ⌠Wings Of Rage⌠, the already mentioned ⌠IronHead⌠, the brooding, pure Metal stomper ⌠Metal Messiah⌠, the dynamic ⌠Fate Of Fire⌠, the driving ⌠Stand As King⌠ and the very catchy ballad ⌠Icecold Arion⌠.

One other tradition has been kept up, though, throughout the times: the cover artists. After Kristian WЕhlin had been responsible for the debut and Andreas Marschall had been contracted for ⌠On The Edge⌠ we now get Belgian Eric Philippe, another very strong effort. And the same can also be said about the album▓s production.
A strong comeback album of one of Denmark▓s best Power Metal bands (together with MANTICORA and WUTHERING HEIGHTS), which most probably will not convert any doubters, but will convince fans of the style, especially as they almost completely leave out any kind of bombast.

А как сам альбом, а то я давно к нему присматриваюсь, но брать или не брать ешё не понял

ну, я рецензии не мастак давать... у bubamaraхорош получается... так он на молодежь не обращает свой взор... ну , солист со своеобразной манерой пения... мелодии интересные - тяжелые и легкие... чередуются... такие -живые...ну не знаю... послушай мп3... я сам в процессе опознания...

Не, как по мне - так чего-то не хватает... Грохочат, пувер есть короче А кайфа не возникло.. стандарт, прорывов нема ИМХО и спасибо за как обычно!

ну, спорить не буду... личные впечатления и восприятия - внутрение дела каждого органисьма... кому-то нравится перчененькое, кому - сладенькое...кого-то пробивает от вида горчицы, кому - надо килограмм слопать...
