Review:
This album was made after Mylene made her visit to California. She mentioned how she loved being able to walk the streets without being harassed by tons of fans, the way she often is in Europe. She being a person who enjoys being solitary at times, it was a really good thing for her... well on with the music... In this album she seems a lot more relaxed, and the songs are not as dark or depressing as the ones on her previous albums. This is like a new Mylene emerging as a woman who has found her place in music and into a category of music with a rock edge to it, something that was absent in the past. Again, she does not fail to grow as an artist. My fav tracks are "Alice", "Et tournoie" and "L'instant X"... The video for the latter included a very sexxy Mylene, which i did not mind seeing either
The track "XXL" does not fail to empower women either, which again shows how Mylene has changed her subject matter in songs compared to her previous ones... This is a true change from "Ainsi-soit je", "Cendres de lune", and "L'autre"... one which i doubt you will find distasteful...
