The hymns are based on themes, melodies and rythyms from various places Gurdjieff had visited on his extensive travels in central Asia, Tibet and India and were transcribed for the piano by his pianst-student Thomas De Hartmann. Athough there's also I believe of old recording of these hymns by De Hartmann himself available on CD, Jarrett's CD is a much better sounding version.

G. I. Gurdjieff

Georges Ivanovich Gurdjieff (Георгий Иванович Гюрджиев, Georgiy Ivanovich Gyurdzhiev (or Gurdjiev); (January 13, 1872? – October 29, 1949), was a Greek-Armenian mystic and spiritual teacher. After attracting pupils and disciples of whom a number were already persons of some distinction, he established a school for spiritual development called The Institute for the Harmonious Development of Man. Gurdjieff also gained public recognition as a teacher of sacred dance. He claimed that the teachings he brought to the West from his own experiences and early travels expressed the truth found in other ancient religions and wisdom teachings relating to self-awareness in one's daily life and humanity's place in the universe. It might be summed up by the title of his third series of writings: Life is Real Only Then, When 'I Am', while his complete series of books is entitled "All and Everything".

Прошу прощения, что пришлось стереть первоначально залитый торент и залить его снова потому что просто забыл скомпресировать .wav в .аре. :( Сейчась все в порядке.

Насколько понимаю думаешь отдаться медитацию на выходных. Не забудь однако про пиво! Оно очень способствует вхождения в глубокой медитации!!! :lol: Это шутка конечно.
