Will was a collaboration of Rhys Fulber, Chris Peterson, and singer John McRae, with Jeff Stoddard part of the line-up on the first album, and Michael Balch engineering on the EP. They produced the album "Pearl Of Great Price" (1991) and the EP "Word, Flesh, Stone" (1992). The band remained inactive after that, and the compilation "Deja Vu" (1997) seemed to be their gravestone. John McRae and Chris Peterson continued working together on their Decree project. "Deja-vu" is a retrospective album featuring material from WILL's two previous releases (1988-1992):"Word, Flesh, Stone" and "Pearl Of Great Price" with MICHAEL BALCH on guitar (MINISTRY, NUMB). WILL's works have been out-print for a few years and have become a rare collectors items. Its dark and dramatic sound, with classically inspired imagery and lyrics is totally unique and timeless. It is packaged in a new custom designed digi-pack artwork with gorgeous graphics in the same medieval vein than the 2 previous releases. Deja-vu is an exceptional album with its self-described Electro-Wagnerian style. It will appeal to the fans of the bands and the followers of Electronic music alike. |
