Felix Alexandre Guilmant (1837 - 1911) Symphonies for Organ and Orchestra Edgar Krapp - organ Bamberg Symphony Orchestra Vladimir Fedoseyev, Sebastian Weigle - conductors Guilmant's symphonies for organ and orchestra are most beautiful but rarely heard romantic works. Since maestro Fedoseyev discovered the 1st symphony for his repertoire, it has become one of his most beloved works. The Bamberg concert hall with its great organ and its excellent acoustics was the best possible venue to perform and to record this music with the renowned organist Edgar Krapp and the Bamberger Symphoniker under Vladimir Fedoseyev (Symphony No. 1) and Sebastian Weigle (Symphony No. 2).
